Working with makers in other countries on a week-long Design Thinking workshop experience
A step to enhanced students’ engineering design skill and appreciation of cultural diversity, we exercised our close connection with SKKU in South Korea and initiated an annual “Inter-cultural Peer Mentor Exchange Program”. Starting from 2014, HKUST and SKKU take turns in hosting this inter-institutional one-week exchange program. Apart from workshops on design thinking, teamwork and cultural diversity, students will spend time to experience the living environment in the host city and come up with an engineering solution to improve the quality of living in the city.
